Does anyone have a guess at how old a 30 pound leopard tortoise may be? It is a female.
No way to know. They all grow at different rates, and they all have different genetics. Most regular leopards aren't going to hit 30 pounds, but if there is some SA genetics mixed in they could. A SA leopard can reach 30 pounds in as little as 4-5 years under ideal conditions and with a higher protein diet, like someone who feeds Mazuri pellets every day. Most leopards under most conditions will take around 8-10 years to reach that size, IF they have the genetics for it.Does anyone have a guess at how old a 30 pound leopard tortoise may be? Thank you. I had no idea they could get that size without improper feeding. I have two leopard females that I started from hatchlings. I feed them a wide variety for grasses and appropriate green leafy stuff with reptivite w vit D supplement and they are 6 and 7 pounds after 4.5 years. I thought that growth rate was crazy fast.No way to know. They all grow at different rates, and they all have different genetics.
