How to get a hatchling to eat?

Well if any of you have seen the topic i made earlier than you will know that I just got a baby RES. he's very active and bask's a lot but he won't eat. He doesn't even acknowledge that there is food there. Please help.

Put some spring mix lettuce in the water, he'll eat that then will gradually take to pellets.

my penn cooter hatchling wouldn't eat at first. Try some mealworms, worms from the gas station, or tilapia. Tilapia worked for me and now it eats pellets too

Was just going to say that Anthony, but you beat me to it. I start off hatchlings with frozen blood worms. The come in little cubes. Just put one cube in warm water for a minute and then offer it to your baby.
