Hello everyone,
I was curious about worming. What medication do you use and how often? I know you worm dogs as a preventative measure (before you notice worms or problems) should I do the same with my tortoises? Thank you for any and all information!

Its best to take a fecal sample to the Vet to have it tested. IF there are worms, use thier advice on what to use and dosage. It varies greatly!
Some products are fatal to torts, so don't do it yourself without knowing for sure.
If there are no parasites... its best not to worm them.

Couldn't have said it better!

Ivermectin is an antiparasitic that is lethal to tortoises. Fenbendazole (panacur) is a very effective drug with a high LD50, so it's difficult to overdose. Regardless, it shouldn't be done without a fecal exam testing positive for worms.

Flagyl is generally used as an anti-flagellate.
