pin worm - should i worm for a third time?

Keeping it short!

Wormcount 21/12 3800epg pinworm found
1 worm treatment
2 worm treatment
wormcount 21/01 260epg pinworm found but dead larvae also found

Vet wants me to worm again, but am I risking my torts insides by worming again, should i do another wormcount maybe in 2 weeks to see if he's able to pass out the rest.

For particularly bad infestations multiple treatments may be necessary. My understanding is the treatements are mostly effective against the adult and larval stages of the worms but not the eggs so you have to kill the live worms, then follow up to kill the eggs when they hatch. Your vet will have a good understanding of the risks of repeated worming, I wouldnt disregard that advice without very good reason. If there are live worms then the tort wont pass them all out, they will lay eggs again and the infestation will get worse.
