You obviously haven't read the "Important Threads" at the top of the Sulcata section. Almost everything you need to know about humidity and the baby sulcata is there in those articles.

There really is a lot of information in the "Important Threads" and found in other threads. You can search the forum for "humidity" and find dozens of threads and hundreds of post on the topic. Most of us have found that keeping the humidity at 80% or higher produces smooth shell growth. We go to great lengths to achieve and maintain that humidity level (search for "closed chambers"). Is 80% the perfect level? Is 90% better? I can't answer that, but I do know for certain that 30% or even 50% is much too low. Controlling the humidity and the temperatures in your baby's environment will be the difference between surviving and thriving. At one, two, or even five years old the differences will be amazing.
