I finally afetr all my work and planning have brought home my beautiful baby leopard tort. (I will try to post a pic soon!). My question now is this. He or she, likes to stay burrowed down in its little hole that it dug for itself in the substarate in its indoor enclosure. I have a basking light on in one corner that gets to 93 degrees. I take it outside for real sunlight during the day so I can avoid using the light when its so beautiful outside. It seems to me that it spends more time hiding than exploring. Is this normal for a new comer to a new environment?
