I got two new babies.

Mine are not active. They are eating. I don't see them do it, but I leave them in shallow water with a few meal worms and when I come back there are just pieces left of the worms. I will go to the store and look for the blood worms tomorrow. I have offerd Muzuri and little bits of blueberry and strawberry, but they have not touched that.
I am using moss for substrate. I have a little bit if soil mixed with it. But not much. Right now they are in a rubber made box. There is a gecko in the aquaium I plan to use for them at the moment. He should leave next week. Do plants grow in moss?
How old is the turtle in the picture? It looks older than mine. I think mine were found in October.

You can leave the plants in their pots that they come in. That's what I do anyway. I got that baby in Oct. and it was about two months old there. The close up makes it look bigger.You could try wax worms. They have a high fat content and are much easier to digest. Also pill bugs. The hatchlings love them. I also buy trout worms, and cut them up. Red wigglers....anything that is small and moves.
