SO... I have been going on in my research thinking that my tortoise is a Greek. But...is he?? I am not so sure now. I have been looking around and it seems that my hatchling looks almost identical to a Hermann's...his plastron does not look the same as a Greek's. I included pictures in this thread to aid in identification. Can anyone reassure me that my tortoise is in fact a Greek or tell me what he happens to be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm no expert on the testudos either, however I'm moving this thread to the Greek section until/unless someone tells me differently. He looks Greek to me.

Looks Greek to me...carapace and plastron patterns aren't Hermanns...the head has a light color that you tend to see with greeks...and he has his "spurs" on his little butt.

Its a Greek defiantly. If you want the dead giveaway, its the spurs on the last pictures of his butt! ^_^ He looks to be Ibera too if you want to know the subspecies ^_^v

I am no expert at identifying but the carapace shell patterns don't really resemble a hermann's to me.

It's a Greek you can see the two spurs between the back legs and tail.
