Im confused help me (two tortoises together)

I just got a new baby sulcata baby because my other tortoise speedy was lonley. I need help because my new tortoise is scared of speedy how do i help my tortoises im sooooooooo confused.

Cats and dogs do great in pairs , but torts DO NOT ! They don't Evan take care of their young ! Hope you have Two enclosures ! Good luck !

Common misconception is that torts get "lonely". I know I thought the same thing. They will need to be separated to avoid fighting/conflict. I truly wish you well with that

Tortoises don't get lonely for the company of other tortoises. They are solitary animals and are the only tortoise living in their territory. When you put two together they will fight and try to chase one out of the territory.

Speedy was not lonely.

Tortoises should not be kept in pairs. You need to separate them into their own enclosures ASAP.
