So, my Russian tortoise is going to move outside for the remainder of the summer in his new are (yay!) and I was wondering if he needs to come in when it rains. The daytime temperature is great for him, 70-80s, and he is in a spot that gets sun almost all day long. Nighttime doesn't get very cold, 60s-70s, but the ground is usually damp, and its been raining a lot, so should he be okay outside in the rain? Unless it like a monsoon, then I'm definitely bringing him in!

I leave my girl out in the rain. Shes got her temp home in there now and always comes out bright and early in the morning for her Sun. Her permanent house will be kept warm for her in those nights with rice pillows that are heated till I can put a mat out there. I think if your guy has a dry place to retreat out of the rain he should be ok.

Yes, he has several hides and a house... He'll be glad he can stay out then!

Your russian can stay out in the rain, wet is not a concern unless they get cold, and you don't want a spoiled russian like I had.

thanks! It doesn't get very cold when it rains here... so he should still be warm even if it's wet.
