I currently have a 6 month old Sulcata in a 10 gallon aquarium (he also has an outdoor pen 2'x3' for warm days.) I am planning on building him a tortoise table but I have a couple questions.
1.)I saw someone use a paint roller pan as a water dish and thought this was a great idea cause its slanted for easy access in and our with a sort of ramp. anyone disagree with using this?
2.)Also I currently I am using grass hay as his substrate is this bad? should I try something else?
3.) am worried if I make my table as large as I would like to(2'X3') that I will have trouble keeping the whole thing at the correct temparture. Is it bad for a portion of the table to drop below 75degrees and be more closer to room tempature @ 60-65? I dont want to have to have more than 2 lamps. 1 uvb and 1 heat. Thoughts on this issue?
4.)Finally should his hut be on the cool side or the warm side of his enclosure?
Thanks
