Heres what we use at night for the baby sulcata Blake.
This is with it open during the day.
This is when it's "sealed up" to trap the heat and moisture.
The daylight hot side basking area. Using a heat lamp on one side, and a nighttime dark bulb that stays on when the basking light is turned off at night. We dont have to use the basking light much except during the winter and bad stormy days.
And this is the warm, dark, humid side that he sleeps in at night.
I know not much of a craftsman, but this table works perfectly for me. I use a cut to fit tarp as a liner to keep the wood underneath from mold and mildew and rot.
