Infrared light burns out

Hello! I am wondering what's the best infrared light for my red ear turtle, I buy them on Amazon not huge ones & they keep burning out often or any advice, my red ear turtle is in a 100 galon tank.

You're probably mounting the bulb in a fixture not set up to handle that high a wattage.

You shouldn't be using an infrared bulb. Use a bulb that makes white light for day time basking. A regular flood bulb from the hardware store will work best. Use it in a ceramic based fixture, also purchased at the hardware store, for about $13. At night temps should be controlled with a submersible aquarium heater.
