hellooo... im pretty new to torts....got my first spur thigh (sheldon) in march for my birthday n i looooove him.... i wont ne hibernating him as i dont feel experienced yet,,,plus hes only 3...... but he has started to eat less and sleep and bury alot,,,,i keep gettin him out but i think he is slowing a little is this normal for oct,,,,is he wanting to sleep?...thanks in advance

Hello and Welcome:). It is a good thing you do not want him to hibernate (brumate) this year. It's usually not a good idea until you have and him for one whole year. It is possible he is trying to do it himself. You may need to up the temps a little a d add more lighting. This is my first year with a Russian, so u am just learning on how to keep them awake too:D

Hi and welcome. Since I got my rescue Russian 2 years ago, I have had no problem keeping her awake. Just feed and lighting as normal, and all has been just fine.
