Hi guys,been away a while but now im back with 2 new torts, Pumpkin is a russian tort and pickles ie a spur thigh not sure which one will need to have a chat with Danny for that one. Ive got henri a Greek about 60 years old and Mini a tunisian about 10/13 yr old, Know the thing is Henri is doing everything that torts do to mate,He knocks, her pushes her gets on top as if to do the business then yes youve got it he goes to sleep,I know hes not to old Can a tortoise be impotent? Has any one got an idea what hes doing?

I think they are fertile as males for a looooooooong loooong time. :) I would love to see pics of the new babies, and I'm a sucker for a nice enclosure shot!

There have been a few studies on female tortoises and fertility. It has been discovered that females can lay viable eggs clear up until the day they die, even if they're 100 years old. I don't remember reading about male tortoises, but its probably the same with them as with the females.
