Picked up a misfit hermans today.
Cyclops like his namesake suggests only has one eye, but hes still pretty cool.

I am sorry to hear the little guy has one eye but I thinks it makes him even more special and even more beautiful :)

I agree with Isa that the missing eye just makes him more special :)

I have several tortoises who are either blind or missing an eye so I am experienced at it and I tell you that sometimes the one eyed tortoises have a hard time finding their food. They bite the air right above the food so I have to push the food up into a high pile. Just thought I'd tell you about that so you can watch and make sure he's getting his food...

Thanks Maggie, I appreciate the info.
Cy has been doing pretty ok as far as eating goes, but thats definitely something I was concerned about, and will be keeping an eye on him.

He is adorable, just a tiny bit bigger than my little Greek was when I got her.

Congrats! You officially have MTS, also known as "Multiple Tortoise Syndrome." ;)

I'm guessing someone hatched them out at to high of a temp. w/the split scutes,and missing eye.
I have a soft spot for the misfits..I think their beautiful in there own special way.
