and now, for the main event; lemon is smaller and has more yellow markings, and dr. parnassus is bigger and has more black on his shell:

for some reason, when i picked up the babies individually i could not get the camera to focus on them so those pics came out blurry, but i promise more pics at a later date!

Wow very cool. You'll have to tell us all about them. I think most of us, me included, don't know much about these.

actually i didn't know anything about them either, but i saw tim and robin selling them, asked a few questions... in my opinion, they are relatively simple to keep as they are a lot like box turtles (which i dealt with a lot growing up!) so their care is familiar to me, and also they can eat everything that i'm currently feeding my baby sulcatas and tula, plus a "salad topper" of fresh fruits and mushrooms. also they don't require a lot of room so they are easy to keep in that regard as well. their house is 2.5' x 4' and since yesterday morning they've hardly gone beyond like a 2 x 2 space, i even watched lemon explore yesterday but she turned back before she even got close to the end where their hides are.

they are better diggers than my sulcatas though-- the tort that is famed for the huge extensive burrows got shown up by little 2 inch spider torts! they dig right down to the bottom of the substrate, i think i may need to put another inch in. my little sullies just find a corner, move their front legs a few times, and give up and sleep with shells exposed and everything lol! i couldn't even find lemon last night, but dr. parnassus left a small indention trail where he dug.

:) Wonderful! Glad they stayed in the family, so we can continue to watch them grow and mature.
