The reason I asked is, I have heard some Spiral bulbs can cause problems with reptiles, especially the eyes (an increase of 4 to 8 times the light of the sun - Hazardous UVB- per website below) Tends to cause torts to stay in hides-decrease activity- can cause swollen eyes. Torts tend to try and hide and stay out of this light.
They have found they can cause problems with people. My grandson (who is epileptic) can't be around them because they cause his seizures to increase. Please watch your little one closely.

Thanks alot for the advice...he does seem to spend alot of time in his hide. maybe the lightbulb is why.
What would you reccomend me using instead of the spiral bulb, as u can see i don't think i have the correct set-up for a long tube bulb...any suggestions would be greatly apreciated!!!!! thanks =]
