Is a 36 gal bow front tank sood for an eastern box turtle hatchling? And will it be good when hes full size, or do i need to get him a bigger enclosure?
shellfreak said:Good for a hatchling Bc you can control the moisture of the substrate. Tank is also okay Bc you won't need a heat lamp for the box turtle, so it won't get super hot in the tank. You will need a UVB high noon light bulb which doesn't give off heat. Plus its nice to see your baby through glass and enjoy it. Once it gets older you will need a larger tank. It won't kill the turtle to keep it in a 36. Are you a bad person for doing that, no. It's just fair to the turtle to put it in something a little larger.
