Hey guys, Ive noticed that my Mediterranean spur-thigh tortoise has developed white patches/lines all over its shell. (have uploaded a pic) They are alot more visible upon wetting the shell, does anybody have any suggestions to what it may be? im looking for a few opinions before take it to the vets.

He/she is about 5 months old, the substrate im using is organic topsoil and i have hemp bedding, he/she shares his home with a younger tortoise who is about 3 months old and the light is a 100W arcadia UV-B lamp.

Thanks

Hi:

Welcome to the Forum!!

Are you referring to the little white squiggly lines throughout the carapace? If so, that just shows that your little baby is growing and is healthy. Nothing to worry about.
