Hello everyone! My question tonight is whether Italian Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) is safe for a Sulcata to eat?

I've check The Tortoise Table, the TFO plant section, and the Kaplan lists, but can't find anything.

I'm planning way ahead of time for a solid outdoor enclosure and the area I'm eyeing has a 20' high Italian cypress tree growing in it. I realize cypress mulch is quite popular for substrate, and that munching a bit shouldn't hurt them, but what about the living foliage?

I wouldn't Feed him the cypress, but if it's in the enclosure and nibbles on it....?

:)

I wouldn't worry about it. There are inedible plants in my enclosures, and they all leave them alone.

Excellent! Thank you Jackrat and Yagy.

I couldn't find any specific information either. There will be plenty of edibles planted in the outdoor space, so I'm not too worried about it.

Again, thank you folks. Sometimes it's nice just to have some extra eyes in case I've overlooked something.

Cheers! :)
