So, I recently set up a new indoor RF indoor enclosure. In doing this I purchased two big bags of peat moss stuff and made a nice deep substrate floor for the new enclosure....and had a whole bag and a quarter left...so thought what the heck let me change out the substrate in the bigger RFs tub ....to see if Goliath would like to fluff....well, from the moment I set him into his enclosure with the moss he has been having what appears to be a blast...his water dish has been packed with the moss and he I don't believe has stopped for two days...he naps then right back to mucking about...buried himself in a few different spots and I think he has been trying to fill his water dish with as much moss as possible...lol....here is his dish within minutes of placing him in his enclosure...and I have been dumping the muck out of his dish and replacing with water like two or three times each day...little rufian....lol ...

I think they have clean water radar detectors. It never fails for me, I clean the water out and come back to check on them and its dirty and has poop. At least they are using it, thats what I say...

Sometimes I imagine Olympic commentary in my head for the things our torts do:
"And here comes Goliath on a tear! His approach looks good, we have lift-off! Beautiful trajectory, and...oh yes, Goliath has nailed the water dish with a devastating canon-ball! Exceptional form, and did you see that moss flinging?!"

Pio has a nice size pond in her garden, but there is a low spot in there and after it rains it forms a puddle. She will sit in this tiny puddle until there's nothing left but mud. Crazy torts love the mud.
