The tortoise weve just got doesnt seem to settle at night unless its on my or my girlfriends knee. Is this healthy? Also any recommendations on where to keep her overnight? As im not able to build an enclosure for a couple of days? Bearing in mind i live in newcastle, england in a 3rd story apartment. Any help massively appreciated.

A plastic tote would make a fine sleep box for the night. If you put in 6 to 8 inches of organic top soil, she will probably dig down and settle in for the night.

Plastic tote you mean box? Weve got her in a cardboard one with some old clothes she can get into along with some newspaper and her food and her water, just for tonight like i say.
