This is what you have to look forward to. I spent the night in the hospital, so Bob did not get his breakfast at 7:30, it's 9:30, hes tipped his 'unspillable water dish on on it's side...So then I get his breakfast, but forget to gt him water...so this is what I found...he's pooped in his breakfast, peed all over, that's creamy urates you're looking at.

I wish I hadn't been so sick or I would have taken better pictures....he rams the door and walls, leaving marks, he usually poops in his water dish, his breakfast and then he pees in the hay he's supposed to eat, then strews it around his shed. It's an impressive sight to see. But I was simply too tired and if you'll excuse the pun, but I made a crappy thread....:(
Big tortoises with a personality is like owning a bulldozer with half a brain, lots of trouble and BIG personalities. Actually now that I have grown a big tort....if I had a small Sulcata, knowing what I now know, I would not be looking forward to them getting big. They are extremely fun until they are about 50 pounds. Then the trouble starts. They are like convicts, always trying and sometimes succeeding in escape.:p I love Bob and wouldn't trade him for the world. But there are times, I am afraid he's smarter than I am. Sometime do a Bob search and see if you can find some of the stories I've written about him. Both the computers with those stories, one blew the mother board, and the other won't boot. So I have lost them all, and about 6000 of my life and animals. I'm heartbroken...
If you can find @jaizei.....he can find anything, and if he find the links and posts them here, I'm going to put them on a disc, so I can have them forever. They actually are kinda funny too. You'll enjoy them, and get a lesson in what a big Sulcata will do...

It's easier to browse when the posts are quoted, like below, but having a ton seems to bog down and use a lot of resources. I have all of the links above, quoted like below, in a PM if anyone wants to be added to it.

I think it's easier to look through them like this. Clicking the arrow at the top links to the post.

Here's Bob and Tony having a visit with Santa. I hope you enjoy it, they sure did!!!

Here is exactly why I have a rule about keeping the gates to my yard
closed at all times. I have 2 gates to my back yard, chain link fence
and chain link gates. So the rule is keeping the gates closed and locked
at all times. Bob has been contained in his shed for months now and I
have noticed signs of him being restless, banging around in his shed and
actually ramming the doggie door and the door that I use. It was 50
degrees today and it hasn't rained in a couple of days so I thought Bob
could go out for a bit. He's big enough to know when to go back in to
warm up. His pen is made with cinderblock stacked 3 high with wooden
stakes inside to hold them in place. Now mind you he hasn't been out for
4 months or more...so I open the doggie door and watch for a minute as
Bob comes out and practically jumps in the air and clicked his heels
together with glee. I haven't been well lately so I go back in and lay
down. 3 hours or so go by as I am watching NASCAR practice runs. I go to
check on Bob and he is gone! I look in the shed, nope, check all around
his pen, nope. So you know I am starting to panic because I know he has
been tort-napped. I look all around my yard which is not that hard to
do, no Bob. So I wheel around to run up the stairs to call the cops as
he comes walking over to me looking for his evening snack. He'd been
moushing around in the poop corner, where I throw his poop. OMG! I
cannot even tell you the relief I felt! One part of his pen is a kind of
a tight 'u' shaped. Tight enough that he can't turn around in it, he has
to back out. Evidently he knocked off the top block and then simply
climbed over the fallen block, over the two blocks that were left in
place and went around the rest of the yard munching. I don't know how
long he was out of his pen, but I cannot tell you how glad I am that I
keep the gates closed!!! And how mad I am at him from scaring me that
bad!!!
Bob is exactly like a misbehaving teenager always in trouble. The older
he gets the smarter I see he is...

Hard drive IS working but so far I have taken it to 3 people and no luck...thank you so much for all the links. You are so good at it, and I'm sorry that you've had to do it for me so many times...I appreciate you...

But what about the laptop with the blown mother board? No chance?

As long as the hard drive isn't damaged, it should salvageable. Just hook the hard drive up to or put it in another working computer. Or use one of the kits and turn it into an external hardrive.

Hard drive on my desk top works fine, but nobody knows enough about Linux to get it to boot up. The motherboard in the lap top is toast. Can I send you the workings for my desk top? Can you do something with it? My pictures are so important to me....
