The reason that the new growth is dark is because of lack of sun exposure. When they spend a lot of time in the sun (Kendall and Kasey were outside for 4 months straight this summer) they are a lot lighter colored.
Thanks! That's good to know, its just the rate of his growth is sort of shocking to me compared to others I have seen and read about. I guess the uvb don't help make up for the sun as far as color and other things go, that's a bummer to know since those bulbs are $60 a piece here and I have 1 for Cooper, 1 for Ophelia, and a brand new 1 in a box for back up since every time I have had to send 1 in for the free replacement it takes about 2 weeks to get it back.. thanks for answering me back! have a great day!
