I've had Klaus since he was two weeks old. He's now almost 4.

He's getting white spots on his carpace...is this anything to be concerned about?

Marbling tends to start out looking something like that. Honestly a lot of folks mistake marbling for shell rot and treat it as such.

Marbling, not shell rot. Some of mine are doing it, I discovered they weren't 100% northern, not saying yours is a mutt though. See what others say.

Agreed, it's marbling.
Looks like a male too.
