Hi, I was wondering if larkspur was safe to feed my Russian. I have access to plenty of it and I was just thinking I really should check to make sure its safe. If it is edible, how often do I feed it and what parts. I am able to get fresh flowers every week and my tortoise loves them, but just to make sure he has a balanced diet, are flowers good to eat 4 or 5 days a week? I mix in greens for the staple of his meal. My tortoise loves a nice hibiscus the size of him!:D Thanks and any reply is much appreciated

No, it is not safe to feed to a tortoise.

What type of flower?
Dandelions need to fed moderately, because too much is just TOO much. Hibiscus are healthy and nutritious, but have a lot of sugary nectar inside that isn't very good to eat often. It completely depend on what type of flower, because some are better for your tort than others!

Thanks, I give him lots of hibiscus, but mainly the petals and leaves. I really like that websites and can mix in a lot of different types of flowers.
