Awwwww, I am so sad for you. Hate it when one passes, but leopards are closest to my heart and harder to see sick or pass way. Again so sorry:(

Are you referring to the choking incident?

No. He was acting lethargic yesterday and today.
So don't take this the wrong way, but tortoises even young ones, don't get sick and die the next day.

He had the choking incident yesterday and then appeared fine for a couple of hours. He then came down with respiratory issues.

They don't die in a day from an RI.

I'm thinking the bark might have punctured something that made it hard for him to breathe...

Sadly I am thinking the same thing some type of injury done by the bark.

The symptoms described a few days ago sounded to me like respiratory issues.

I've never seen a tortoise choke on something, do they gape their mouths and squeak when they are choking like they do with a respiratory illness?
