I've raised pardalis babcocki for over ten years. Last year one hatched into an undeniable pardalis pardalis! Could this be a recessive Gene? Same parents.

A good percentage of the leopard tortoises in the U.S. are what Will calls 'mutts.' This is not a derogatory term, I use it merely to explain that they are not from a pure line - either what is known as Babcocki or what is known as South African (or pardalis pardalis), but rather a mix of the two.

The variety that can come from the same parents can be mind boggling. Any pictures of the babies and the adults?
