Question I have a buddy who is giving up his leopards and I might grab them, are these guys the bigger of the two leopards?

Can't tell without genetic information. Even if they get 2+' they could be cross breeds.

You can't tell for sure without knowing the parents. One old trick I've heard is to check the row of dots down the back. If each scute has two distinct and separate dots then it is more likely a G.P.P. (the larger breed). These almost have that trait showing. However, given a majority of leopards in the US are G.P.B or a mix, the odds are these are not true G.P.P. Ask him how much he bought them for because a mix will cost roughly $100-$150 whereas a true G.P.P. will go for over $250.

Good looking guys there. They will still get pretty big I'D say.

They look like the large ones too me. The paradelis ? Have specks on their legs, neck etc. and the extra dots usually. They look it to me. Not to say they couldn't be cross between the two.

Do you have any pictures of the parents?

I am tempted to say that they look completely like South African leopards, but the middle one has a babcocki nose.

Either way, they definitely have some strong South African genetics, so they will probably grow to be large.

Wait, Neal, what do you mean "babcocki nose"? The left tortoise or the right tortoise? I don't see it in the picture. Or do I? What is the difference please, for educate us purposes.

Typically what I see in South African leopards is their noses will slope downwards slightly, where as with the other types their noses bulge up a little bit. Of the three in the picture (the one on the left is cut off) you can see the bump on the nose pretty clearly on the middle one.

Fascinating and fascinated. Thanks Neal. Your expert eye and expertise is so appreciated. That you noticed the distinction in their lil noses amazed me. : )

This is such a neat observation Neal. Thanks for sharing. Now I'm sitting here staring at Ben and trying to decide on his nose lol
