For my babies over winter I use the Powersun 100 watt and it will work fine for your russians. It will kill your reptile if too close but any heat lamp will. I keep mine around a foot away and I get temps around 110 for their basking. Do your tortoises get a lot of outside time throughout the year?

I use ZooMed Repti-Sun fluorescent strip lights, which provide lots of visible light, as well as UVA/UVB. I use a CHE for the basking spot.

Oh cool! Thanks!
When it's nice out, I like to keep them outside :)
