Local oahu tortoise breeder wanted.

I was wondering, besides russian and greek tortoise, what other breeds of tortoises could live in hawaii oahu specifically. And if anything was selling any including greek and russian.

I'm not sure which island, or if the person is still in Hawaii, but a member used to have a friend on one of the islands that bred leopards. The last I seen that was about a year or more ago.

Leopards do very nicely there. There's a breeder, but I'm unsure which island.

I think ANY species of tortoise will do well in HI, with the right set up. For example more shade for Manouria, and more sun for leopard or sulcata adults.

I would not think a russian would do all that well there due to the perpetual warmth and humidity.
