what size are they? Ostrich?
I don't understand - are they not leaving ANY of the eggs in the ground to try to incubate naturally? I mean, if artificial doesn't do it, then I would try leaving them alone.
And as far as the weight loss - up the humidity. The fungus - up the air flow or change the media. What kind of experts are runnin' this stuff? LOL. Give some of us forum members a few of those eggs and we'll show ya how it is done...

No, 70 isn't old at all. And tortoises typically become MORE fertile with age, not less, like mammals.
