Long weekend

We are planning a long weekend trip at the end of the month. Leaving Friday evening and returning Monday afternoon. I am wondering if it is okay to leave my two leopards (18 months and 3 years).The lights/heat are on timers. I'm mostly concerned about food. They don't eat Timothy grass or anything that wouldn't go bad right away. Any thoughts? I could bring them to visit my dad- but that's a whole ordeal to move them and their home.

I think you will be ok. Just put some hay and water in the enclosure if they get hungery they will eat the hay. The thing that would warrant wary me would be the heat lights or your turtle flipping over so if you can I would have someone checking on them. You can also get you a cheep camera from radio shack and check on them on line.

I have left mine plenty of times, about once a month, about three days is the most i have had to do. When i leave for a week, I hire a animal sitter. Feed them and give fresh water just before you leave, piles of greens, but spread out some so the underneath doesn't get mushy. They will eat even dry greens. If you have Mazuri, give them some of that. if you dont have it, you should get some, its a good food to add to their diet. Make sure there is nothing they can climb on and flip. Then don't worry. Tortoises in the wild may not find a lot to eat every day. A day of no food, should they run out will not hurt them.

Weather permitting, I prefer to leave lights off if I leave for a few days.

They love mazuri- but I'm concerned it will go bad over 3 days since they only eat it wet.
