After much research, our family has decided to get a greek tortoise. I am looking for a well-established baby or adult captive-bred tortoise, as this will be our first tortoise pet. Willing to purchase or adopt. I am in Michigan and am having difficulty locating any breeders that actually have stock currently.

You can try looking for on the verified vendors thread and reaching out to said vendors. Though I reckon not a whole lot of babies are hatched in winter.

Looks like TortoiseSupply has some southern Ibera greeks right now. I had a good experience getting a golden greek (T.G. Terrestris) from Tyler in the summer.

You could look at morphmarket, but be careful, not everyone there speaks the truth. Make sure you don't go with anything suspicious, and better safe than sorry. Make sure they have that green shield that means that the website will pay you if the tortoise is damaged or they scamed you
