Wanted Russian or Hermanns

Hi, I live in the Chicago area and I am looking for a Russian or Hermanns tortoise to add to our family. I would rather adopt a tortoise that needs to be rehomed or purchase a captive bred tortoise. Thanks!

Thanks! I noticed you're from California so I am assuming you ship? What is the cost to ship? I would assume the tortoise would be overnighted? How does he ship? I am going to give it a bit to see if there are any a little closer to Chicago before I make the decision to ship.

I ended up finding a little 6 month old Ibera Greek tortoise on Craigslist. I was able to meet the little guys mother and father and they kept very detailed records so we have the date he was laid and hatched and his birth weight. He was a little dehydrated but with some daily soaks and a few bits of cucumber mixed with his greens for the past few days he seems to be back on track. Franklin (my 4 yr old named him) is a great addition to the family!
