Hello, I recently purchased a new pop-up greenhouse and I’m looking to start building the enclosure for my second leopard tortoise. I already have one, so I’m not in a rush to purchase the second one so I’m being kind of picky. I’m in the market for a high white leopard. Please message me if you know someone or have some available. Thank you.

Most that are marketed as high white aren’t truly they are just listed when new white growth has come in.(especially when young) The only way to really ensure a high white is to buy one that is pretty much done all of its growing and has remained ‘high white’. Many will use this popular misleading term. What is high White today may not be in a few months and what is dark today may be light in a few months. It’s not very predictable. ‘High white’ is not a genetic morph, it is mostly just chance.

Here’s an example of just one of my babies in different stages of growth. You can see drastic changes in appearance.

hello and thank you for your message. I’d be willing to get an older one
Good luck in your search. A truly high white adult I don’t think many people will be letting go and they won’t be cheap.

Just be careful asking around because the only reason I felt compelled to say something is that someone trying to sell you something will tell you what you want to hear. If you buy a 6 inch ‘high white’ it still might not be high white six months from then (and usually isn’t) If not mostly full grown it’s not high white in my opinion. They will promise you the moon though and outrageously overcharge.
