Looking for young slucata to adopt in Kansas

I'm in central Kansas and I'm looking for a young tortoise. The younger the better. I figured I would try to adopt/rescue before purchasing one.

Have you seen this? I think Topeka is about 500-600 miles from Tulsa. Might be a good idea to go on a road trip...

I drove 2 & a half hours to get my baby sulcata from another forum member. It was great peace of mind to know he or she was started right by someone educated in care! Good luck!

This seems like a better idea. Better to start with a tortoise raised right from birth.

Don't let me sway you from rescue if you are set on it. For me this re-home situation was what came up first. I was just glad it was a forum member.
