Hello,
I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping to get some help.
My almost 2 year old hermanns Morla has been breathing loudly and he's already been to the vet for a check up and they said he's healthy and the noise could be just how he breaths. I was reading a little that it could also be from stress or being unhappy about something.
So here's my question, how can I know what he's stressed or unhappy about and how can I help.
Thanks :)
Here's a silly picture of his playing with toy balls :)

Give us a run down of his temps, humidity, diet, etc.
Also, have you tried sneaking in on him, don't let him see you and listening to see if he is breathing like this when your not there. Sometimes my leopards will breath louder then normal. Not sure why.

His temp usually stays around 80-84° I have a heating pannle so right under it its 84° and it kinda disperses out from there at 80°.
During the night its around 74° on the cool side.
His hot stop gose to 90°.
His humidity is around 40-50%
Hope that helps :p

Oopps diet he eats a mix of lettuce, dandelion greens, carrot tops, curly kale, clover. Occasional cucumber and fruit as a treat. I am looking for new things to include as well :)

Sounds good from my quick glance of the caresheet. I bet it's just cuz your there. Like mine do once in a while. It's almost like they are smelling, but loudly. Try to listen to him and him not know your there, I bet it will be normal breathing. Do it a couple times, you'd be amazed how much they can tell your there, even when you don't think they know it

Alright I'll try sneaking up on him tomorrow when he's awake. When he's sleeping there's nothing but the occasional puff. So hopefully it's just that haha. Thanks alot, defiantly makes me feel better :)

Your torts diet should be leafy greens - mostly broadleaf weeds.

Just make sure that fruit is only fed in very small quantities and very occasionally.

Too sugar much causes digestive and kidney problems; bell pepper, tomato and carrot (the orange part) are also high in sugars.

Carrot greens are fine.

Ive been trying to mix things up a bit latley because I feel like he's becoming bored. Anything they really like that's good for them to have daily?
