How exciting! When she is done laying and you dig up the eggs let us know how many eggs she laid.

She is still on the hole. I can't see in it now, but know she was as far as she could reach a couple of hours ago. How long does it usually take? It is getting dark.

How exciting. Is this the first time she has laid eggs? Has she been with a male?

I rescued her and another female last winter from a pet store. I saw one of them digging on the cement floor they were on with her back feet. That one laid eggs in the indoor nesting box. I have a 1.3 group, but not sure my male is mature. He is only 4.5 inches. I don't know much about their history. Only time will tell. They are in the incubator. If successful, it will be my first.

She is nesting again tonight. Last night's eggs were to the side of her hole. 2 or 3 inches from where I expected them to be. Does the chamber go to the sides of the hole? Could those have been eggs from an earlier clutch? Maybe one of the others? Is it normal to lay a clutch in 2 different holes?

I got 2 more eggs tonight. If any of you experienced breeders have any insight, I would sure appreciate it, if you would share. I am guessing finding eggs last night was just lucky that she dug a test hole near a previous nest?

Congratulations on more eggs :) hopefully some more experienced tortoise breeders will come along and give you some advice. I can just be a cheerleader.
