Just a question does a male or females tail matter what side it stays tucked up under the shell matter like a male it stays right and a females left or just what ever way they want to put it?

If I understand your question, the direction they tuck there tail has no bearing on male or female- it is more like being left- or right-handed.
LENGTH of the tail does help indicate gender if the animal is old enough- fairly stubby tails are female, honking long tails are males.
