I have had my Russian tort for about a month. I was told she is a female but I am so confused because I am always reading different things about there sex & how to tell. Could someone help me please? I hope these pictures work! Also it's tail is not always pointed to the side like one of the pictures show. It is usually out straight.

Looks like a male to me. Russian males will almost always have a very thick long tail that goes to the side and females will have short stubby tail that points straight out. How big is he?

I say underdeveloped to just mean he is small, nothing looks wrong with him.
