Mazuri at Petco

Petco just started carrying small bags of Mazuri!

Yes it is more expensive than what I got online and there's only the smallest bags, but I'd rather get one more expensive pound and actually use it all before it expires than three cheaper pounds and throw most of it away.

Just thought I'd share! They just recently started carrying a lot of different products for tortoises. Even though most tortoise keepers don't use commercial food, it's good to see them getting a little attention

How much was the small bag? I get mine at my reptile store for $11.99 for 1 lb. If my local PetCo sells it, it could save me gas money and time.

Nay, someone on here told me that it loses most of it's nutrient content within a year of being opened, not sure if that's true or not though.

Petco also does price match so if you have any of your old receipts you could still get it at the $11.99 price

I've gotta say, I'm pretty happy about this. At least some of the people who feed the "fruity pebbles" will start to feed this instead of or in addition to. Maybe some of the ice berg lettuce and cucumber feeders will use this too. This will certainly improve the lives of at least some tortoises because its now more easily available to the "mainstream" tortoise folks.

I've been meaning to get some online as Darwin has lost complete interest in his ZooMed Grassland food.

Also, I've been hearing Mazuri is a lot better for them too.

I order mine through a feed store in Michigan. With tax, 28 and some change. They order it for me. I only have one 7 inch leopard. I put it in zip lock freezer bags and freeze it. I can't tell ya if it looses anything, it looks just like the day I got it and it should last me about a year, until he gets bigger.
