My female eastern box turtle has a middle ear absese I was wondering if it would ever go away on its own or should I go to the vet

No, they don't go away on their own. But wait a while before you go to the vet. Its best to allow it to ripen before it gets lanced. That way ALL the "stuff" comes out when its lanced.

ive seen them go far to long.... as in the head just bulging.... its best to get them done when they are as said above ,,ripe,, but not too big
