Welcome, Tank is adorable and he sure looks happy to me! Might i suggest if possible a bigger enclosure for him? im kind of new also but my Red foot recently got a bigger enclosure and he is going crazy! A cheap way to do this is to get two big plastic bins side to side and cut off each of the insides to connect them. Or a bookshelf turned on its side. Have fun with tank!

Tank is adorable, but it looks like he needs more humidity as he is starting to pyramid (shell not growing smooth). You may have taken it off for the pics, but do you have a lid, heating elements, and a UVB source (or does he get UVB with time outside?).

A happy redfoot is warm (low to mid 80's), high humidity (maybe 80s or higher), and sufficient sun or UVB so he/she can process calcium and vit D.

A $9 thermometer/hygrometer found in Walmarts home improvement section can help you monitor those conditions.

Yes i have a top and a heat lamp. I spray his habitat with water daily. My sister had him before me then gave him to me. And she did not keep him in the best condition. So thats because of her but iv herd that to prevent it i could also feed him calcium supliments is it a good idea?

He looks happy and healthy. I agree with the previous post that suggests a bigger enclosure down the road, but he looks very well provided for.

I put a cuttle bone, you know the one for birds, right in with my red foot. The little chomp marks told me he was eating it. Then I "caught" him. So cute to hear the munching sounds.
