I’m so excited to finally make my own post about the new member of our family! Tortellini the Burmese star!! I’m obsessed with him.
Iv been on this form soaking up all the amazing information for a few years now and when i had the opportunity to own a Burmese star here in Canada (very very hard to find) I new it was meant to be!
He’s currently in a closed tote with his PVC enclosure being delivered next week. I currently have the jungle LED light bar, 50 watt basking light and a 80watt RHP. I am using the Ghome smart plug bar which pairs with the SmartLife app which allows me to set timers. I also have a thermostat plugged into my basking light and a thermostat plugged into my RHP which is plugged into the wall outlet. Temps on one side are between 80-84 with humidity around 80 and other side is 85-89 with humidity around 85
He’s eating pretty well but I’m wondering if I should be cutting his foot up into small pieces or leaving them whole?
he does have his favorites but I’m slowing wanting to add more variety to his diet. Iv also picked up toppers from Kapidolo Farms as well I ordered herbal hay from tortoise supply. I also have Optimised52 and have ordered mazuri for next month.
I’m soaking him daily for 30 mins and have put him outside for 30 mins for some vitamin D
