So I'm curious to see what you guys think of the SB or EB mega ray. I'm trying to decide which one to get for my egyptians. Which one lasts longer? What is your experience with these? I know the SB may be more fragile than the EB, but I want to hear from those that have used them. Any information, comments, etc helps. Thanks!

Bump...............Hoping to find anyone with good feedback on Mega Ray bulbs, good or bad.
I'd like to know how much longer they will be on back order! It seems like it's taking forever
I don't know why it took me so long to find this video! If what is said in this video is true, and I believe it is, the clear choice for me is the EB Mega Ray. While its nearly twice the cost to get into this product, the bulb, by design, will last much longer than the SB or other MVB's. Not to mention the UVB decay is slower than other MVB's. The EB bulb should have a pay back period of about one year, or less if it is actually putting out more UVB than other MVB's I plan to order today.

I prefer the SB100 b/c i am receiving uvb's & heat all from the same source .
I know Bob mac have been having some quality issues & there were lots of back ordered bulb's.
He seems to have all this resolved now .
I placed an order for 3 100 wt sb's & received them in 3 weeks in December
My SB 100's have been lasting 12 to 14 months.
Word of caution they have to be hanging straight down .
Placing this bulb at any type of Angle will cause premature failure.
