Missing Sulcata tortoise 9/10/23 Crane Hill, Alabama. 25 to 30lbs male. Reward!

My buddy has been missing a couple weeks. I believe he was taken from my yard by a contractor installing a double wide across the rd. My blink security camera shows him driving by multiple times then a 2 to 4min stop.

Have you asked the contractor about it?

Try to find out if the contractor is local, or where they are based. First if you can find out where they live and they took it for themselves they may just have it in their yard. Assuming you have photos and you find it in the yard, I would go with police or animal control.

If not, start looking around on Craigslist in the area the contract is based and see if its posted in case they are trying to resell it.

Also tell local shelters, regular vets and especially reptile vets and put reward posters up, and post on nextdoor

Yeah, I would go talk to the owner of said contractor company. Most likely the owner wasn't the one doing the job and stealing your tortoise. Maybe you can not only get your tortoise back, but the dirt bag fired and arrested!
