I know it's important to keep the substrate moist for humidity, but I'm wondering when the best time to mist the substrate is.
Last night I read online to mist it at night after turning off the lamp because it mimics the dew in the wild. But I wasn't sure if that's a good idea because then it would be colder and wet...

So should I mist it in the morning when I turn on his lamp? Or at night when he's burrowed?

First thing every morning I pour water in the habitats that need a moist substrate. I don't mist. Then I mix the substrate all up with my hand. If you pour water it stays moist longer and the top layer dries but then it's still moist under that layer creating the humidity needed...
