Like one of my earlier posts, I know this belongs in the sea turtle section, but good news for wild turtles seems so scarce that it's worth celebrating. I read in our local newspaper that for the first time in 20 years there are loggerhead turtle nests on some Mississippi beaches! Scientists are, of course, divided in their explanations. But the nests are being closely watched! Stay tuned: we'll hope for birth/hatching announcements to follow!
